About the Event
As part of the genealogy fun, everyone will be asked to bring an anecdote or short amusing story about a relative that showcases their family's heritage.
We will play a game where each attendee will provide clues about their relative and the group will guess one another's familial pasts based on the information provided (e.g. your relative's name, where they grew up, hobbies they had, life experiences that affected you, etc.). For example, if your anecdote is: "my great-grandfather was Al Capone's limo driver." Your clues provided could be: "Joe immigrated to the US through Ellis Island, grew up in Brooklyn, and learned English working in a pizza shop."
Given the proximity to St. Paddy's Day, Guinness and traditional Irish fare will be served, along with other food and nonalcoholic beverages; however, please feel free to BYOB according to your preferences.
Join us as we take a walk through history to uncover our diverse pasts and heritages.
